With a background in Head Hunting and interests in motorcycling and photography, when travelling around this beautiful country of ours on business, I always tried to to avoid the direct highway route, rather to take the higgledy piggledy, undulating backroads through the countryside; discovering the most gorgeous towns, villages and vistas throughout the land.  And I always took a camera !!

Motorcycling in my leisure time was spent in similar scenic areas – you can travel at least twice the distance in a day on a bike that you can on four wheels.

When you live in a cool, sometimes damp country, the British tend to head off to the sun for their vacations, forgetting the stunning scenery and the history that we have here in the UK.  When you live in warmer climes, perfect weather is not so important and, after all, its our weather that keeps us so beautifully green and colourful, all year round !

I started this business 14 years ago, almost on a whim…..it does not reward me financially like Head Hunting but the pleasure and satisfaction I derive from showing enthusiastic visitors my wonderful country, surpasses anything else I have done in my life to date.

“Lets Tour England” was a misnomer from the start – most of my tours are extend across the UK – England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland as well as Western Europe – France and Belgium. We should be called “Lets Tour Europe“!!

Some of you will also have read my blog……largely on the subject of travel, particularly in summer.   But I will also blog about whatever gets my goat be that sport, politics, my motorcycling – even my pets !  I get about 2000 hits a month on my blog and I wish a few more people would post comments because I enjoy being controversial – even provocative
