Thursday 16th – talking of girls should I choose Clare or Kerry 😳😜
Good evening – this morning, when I woke, I was greeted by Clare…..tonight am in Kerry 😳
Originally I intended to visit us the incredible Burran – a huge outcrop of slab rock in County Clare which is incredible to see but this would have taken me off the coast road so since I am back here again in September on business, I shall revisit it then.
So this ride, at least until the Shannon Ferry – about 75 miles, was mostly very close to the sea.
I wasn’t going to go through Doolin as I have been there so many times but did anyway.
Agreed to meet up with another couple of bikers – Martin and John – at Quilty – don’t have any photos of the guys but this is one they took of me !
Then it was a question of crossing the River Shannon ferry – something I have done many times but not with a tiny bike.
Then I had prearranged to meet Pete, another biker, in Tralee. He invited me in for a cup of tea and when I sad down in his sumptuous chair I had to fight myself from falling asleep – guess I must be a bit nackered!
As far as the bike goes it has been performing admirably although I have had some hesitation and misfires but when I rev it it seems to clear it. This afternoon I did have a massive backfire (no really guys) and it felt something material shot out of the pipe? 😳
Anyway here I am on the River’s Edge B&B in Killorglin- literally overlooking the river as I write this!
Tomorrow is the Ring of Kerry – sounds interesting.
