A walk along part of The Monarch’s Way around the Cotswold Town of Tetbury…..
We are fortunate to live in a small town surrounded by a plethora of country walks across fields and through woodland.
I took to The Monarch’s Way this Easter Monday and have given some photographic hints on which direction to take…. Part of this path, I have never walked before.
Only about 10% of this walk – if that – is along a metalled roadway – the rest is on public footpaths through farmyards and across fields with a little woodland thrown in for good measure! The blackthorn, just coming into flower, was gorgeous.
Half way around, there was a stunning view of a rape field in bright sunlight against a grey sky – which, I should have known, heralded a howling wind, hail and sleet!
Welcome to the British Cotswold Spring !
