Told you so…..its official – tourists down by 35% – 40% in London – central London is like a ghost town…..no way is the country packed to the gunwales !
For what its worth…..if I don’t get some reservations in September soon I’m off to Yellowstone…..a mixed blessing….spending money instead of making it !

You might think Cambridge is a wonderful, historic city but visitors here are made to feel unwelcome by a draconian parking regime supported by an acquiescent local council.
Oxford or Cambridge? I’d choose Oxford every time – a far more welcoming town !

About 12 years ago I told some friends in New England to watch out for “Cold Play” as the next big thing in British popular music. The kids didn’t take me seriously so I must remind them of that fact, as I believe at least one of them has watched Cold Play performing live!!
So watch out for the next “big thing” from Britain – “Cosmo Jarvis”, a singer / songwriter / director / movie maker / actor…..you name it !! His new album, “THINK Bigger” was recorded in his bedroom in Paignton, Devon, just a few miles from my childhood home. Cosmo Jarvis sings and plays all the instruments and I include a sample of tracks on the album below.
Whatever your taste in music he is one talented guy !
