Ok – can someone explain why we bomb Libya who simply threatend to slaughter its people, but not Syria who actually DOES????

…..duh I think I just twigged why…..

They eat dogs in Korea……

…..and they eat horse meat in France…..!

And in England…..?

You might not see signs like this in America but in England, the practice is commonplace!

Harry Potter – ten years from Philosopher’s Stone to Deathly Hallows its the end of an era !

Harry Potter – ten years from Philosopher’s Stone to Deathly Hallows its the end of an era !

Its also the end of an era for Daddy and Daughter – we went to see the early movies “just the two of us” but then interlopers like mothers and acquired husbands muscled in on the act!!

This week we will see the final movie.

Ten years ago I’d never even heard of this “Hairy Poddah” that Americans were talking about. Holly was a young girl at school, now she is a teacher. I had just had a serious motorcycle accident and was in the process of giving up my “head hunting” (recruitment) business and diversifying into a photography gallery. “Lets Tour England” was not so much as a thought in my mind!.

Some pretty profound things have happened to me in the last ten years too but things have moved on, two married children and sadly, of late, our family has become a little smaller in number.

While my touring business is not as financially rewarding as “head hunting”, I’ve discovered its more important to be happy in your work !

Back in Malmesbury…..Abbey House Gardens and The Old Bell !

What more can I say about Malmesbury – The Old Bell Hotel, Abbey House Gardens and Malmesbury Abbey itself?

Having been to York, Durham, and Edinburgh in the past week, Malmesbury is the best !

Back at “The Ship on The Shore” in Leith !

People say Fishers is the best there is in Leith (the fishing port of Edinburgh) but I’ve tried Fishers (VG) and the Shore Bar next door and I’ve been to The Ship on The Shore twice and The Ship is definitely the best – great food and a warm welcome!!!

Kangaroo Court sentences Aussie Media Magnate Rupert Murdoch to a custard pie in the face with immediate effect…..what a farce !

Kangaroo Court sentences Aussie Media Magnate Rupert Murdoch to a “custard pie” in the face to be carried out with immediate effect while his wife, Wendi Deng, came in with a strong left hook that connected with the assailants chin…..what a farce !

……actually a huge embarrassment for the British Parliament as a member of public in the “public gallery” manages to hide his paper plate loaded with shaving foam and slap it into Rupert Murdoch’s face!

Disrespectful?? Yes….of the British Paarliament but no crocodile tears for the Murdoch’s who head up the organisation that hacks the cell phones of dead people.

It is the view of many that this business with NewsCorp in the UK is just the tip of the iceberg and when more comes to light on the American side of the pond, the “stuff” really will hit the fan.
