Fisher’s Bistro on the harbour in Leith (near Edinburgh)

On recommendation of one of my Travel Agent colleagues, Ellie Burns-Brookens from Eurodiscov.com based in Oregon, I visited Fisher’s Bistro on the harbour in Leith (nr Edinburgh).

Started with a beer from a local micro brewery with nice nutty bread and butter. Then for my appetiser I had Queens (little scallops) with red onion and capers followed by a whole plaice and veg. Ok it was a bit “fussy” for me but delicious and with a great ambience to the place even that early – well there were a few Americans in for an early dinner!

I finished with the cheese !

The Forth Bridges

Just sitting here, beside the Firth of Forth, listening to the new leader of the Labour Party giving his first speech while taking photos of the Forth railway and road bridges, just east of the railway bridge at South Queensferry.
