This is more like it…

…..though IS it?

Just taking the R115 back road between Laragh Co Wicklow and back to Dublin via Sally Gap and Glencree – very barren landscape with much evidence of past peat cutting which has to an extent scarred the landacape.

I’m not saying Dublin’s rough….

…..just glad I opted for the garage parking!

The second photo is the General Post Office in O’Connell Street, where Irish independence was declared in 1916

Dublin is a city of Taxis – they seem to outnumber the cars. You’ll never want for a taxi in Dublin!

Conwy Castle !

Here we are back in Conwy with its amazing castle in an otherwise rather indifferent town – you may disagree,

I’m on my way to the port of Holyhead on the isle of Anglesey on route to Dublin, Ireland. We take a ferry later this afternoon for a mamouth 11 day trip around Ireland – both north and south!

A nice day to be in Bath !

Pultney Bridge is modelled on the Ponte Vecchio in Florence, Italy – like the Ponte Vecchio there are little stores on the bridge which leads into the longest street in Bath, Great Poultney Street – used for the filming of the movie “Vanity Fair”

The panoramic shot over the city was taken from North Road, while on a tour of Bath
