My very first Blog – 9th December 2008 !
These rantings may relate to my work, my ideas, things that strike me as interesting, funny or controversial. For instance, yesterday I went into a very up-market food shop in the town I live in where a similarly up-market woman with a highly “affected” county accent was speaking out…..she said “I have never been a political person but I honestly believe he should be SHOT. I instantly knew she was referring to our fresh faced, sharp and humourous (NOT) Prime Minister, Gordon Brown. I interjected – “oh come come” I said….”I know he is shallow and constantly changing his mind, but there is no need to go to lengths of shooting David Cameron” (her preferred alternative). She looked at me as if she was about to expload “Whaaat” she bellowed “I am talking about BROWN” !! I said I was just trying to introduce a balanced argument – the shop was in uproar !
