Penny Lane – (are you a “certain age”?)

Firstly if you have a keen ear you will notice the music is, in fact, NOT “The Beatles” although the band singing (The Analogues) are totally note and instrument perfect. I tried using the Beatles version but unsurprisingly it was blocked by copyright. For what its worth, The Analogues are a Dutch band and they have a brilliant video on youtube where the Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band is performed LIVE – something The Beatles never did ! SO…..READ ON !

Liverpool is not high on most people’s “bucket list” but if you are of a certain age – a “Child of the Sixtiesyou can experience a fantastic tour of the Beatles’ Liverpool heritage with locations like Strawberry Fields, the Cavern Club, Eleanor Rigby’s grave and “The Beatles Story” (exhibition) to visit as well as the exceedingly modest homes that the “Fab Four” lived in post war Britain. You can even visit Paul McCartney’s and John Lennon’s homes – just a walk from each other!

If you have three or four hours to spare – perhaps driving on the M6 highway between England, The Lake District and Scotland, a visit to Liverpool would be a great idea.

** By the way – the photos we all taken by me, save for a few !! **
