Out for the evening with a few of my ex-reprobates…..!

Had a great night out at The Old Smokey in Paignton with a few old mates and our lovely, sensible, long suffering wives!

Left to right – Dave Heston, Moi, Ian Mills and Dave Lund.

Dave Heaton I’ve known since I was 18 and no night out “clubbing” was complete without him as he used to protect us if we ended up with a spot of fisty-cuffs after trying to “chat up” someone else’s girlfriend – how un-pc and inappropriate is that?

Ian Mills – prides himself in wearing his hair as long today as in 1972 – we have memories of listening to Deep Purple at maximum volume on Saturday afternoons in his bedroom where we planned strategy for the evening out at the local disco.

Dave Lund I’ve known since I was 11 – he used to “crew” my rowing boat on the river and after being “ordered” to row by Captain Rob, and refusing, he was cast adrift on a bouy in the river for mutinous behaviour while I returned to my grandparents for lunch!!! When I returned after a fine feed he was very distressed but told me last night he was inclined to forgive me!!!

Wonderful lifetime friends – great to meet up!
