Yes indeed, “Luton” is the “Bourton-on-the-Water” of London’s Airports…..

Many will know of my dislike of Bourton on the Water in the Cotswolds, laughingly called “The Venice of the Cotswolds”. In fact I call it “Boredom on the Water” and find that most people find the place as awful as I do with its hoards of day trippers from the cities of the British Midlands, removing their sweaty socks and dipping their feet in the pure fresh waters of the River Eye.

So in the hierarchy of London’s airports, Luton is definitely bringing up the rear. Heathrow for professionals. Gatwick for lesser professionals and holidaymakers. Luton for the riff raff who want to drink beer and prosecco at 7am.

What a s*** hole !

We flew into and out of Luton on our last trip to England, you know. The beer was just OK, but the prosecco was great.
