If Joe Public can see how to play these EU withdrawal talks…..why can’t our government?

We British have tried to be decent, friendly and cooperative but we have been met by sourness, threats and obduracy.

We are not about to leave this “club” without paying our dues and we would still like to be friends with it’s members. And when Prime Minister May suggested a period of 2 years of adjustment after BREXIT Monsieur Barnier seemed to accept that but now Madame Merkel and Herr Macron 🙂 have put the mockers on that idea.

What on earth is stopping us from saying “We’ll pay you so ‘X’ in March 2019 and we won’t charge any tariffs on traded goods unless YOU do” !

Then we walk away. If Barnier and his team want to talk sensibly to us about anything else…..they can cross “La Manche” to see us !

This is exactly what Yanis Varoufakis said. If he can see it…..and we, the hoi polloi, can too (continuing the Greek theme!); then why should we tolerate being abused by these people with their threats to see the UK on its knees and eviscerated as an example to other member countries who might think they want to leave the EU. We cannot let their savage plans succeed.

Would show them the finger…..
Lets Tour England !

PS – Incidentally the King of Spain’s intervention in the Catalonia matter is disgraceful. He is the puppet of the Spanish government, afraid to lose his throne. And the reaction of EU leaders in refusing to condemn last Sunday’s police brutality.
